By now, you all know about this book, because they made it into a Tom Hanks movie. Have I ever told you I hate Tom Hanks? I find him obnoxious. This book however, I found it throughly enjoyable.

Let's just ignore the fact that it took me a year to finish. Yep, a year. Honestly, I think that Oscar's "heavy boots" gave me "heavy boots".

Anyway, read it, even if it takes you a year.

I don't know why, but I LOVE her. I'm guessing it's the crazy dress, the pink lipstick or maybe the overuse of confetti - always a good idea. The song is pretty great too. The chorus has a throw-back sound that makes you want to dance in your bedroom with your besties, Grease style.

What does a 25 year old single female do when she comes home at 1:00 am and sees two guys wearing black and pulling on black beanies outside the neighbor's door?

She sneaks inside and tells her roommate. Then the roommate proceeds to look out the window and sees ski-masks instead. Never mind the Benydryl and night blindness that have greatly effected said roommate, she believes her. After some squeals and locating their bright pink taser, they decide to call the non-emergency police hotline.

Once she finally looks out the window herself and sees it's just two guys chatting, she really freaks out. After further deliberation and even more squeals, they call the cops back and say oops.

Just another Saturday night in the Megs & Chanti Casa. No biggie.

Here's the deal, you mark on a menu what proteins you'll eat, allergies or things you despise. Then they bring you food based on your personal preferences. I couldn't even begin to tell you what I ate. The names were long and fancy-schmancy.

And it all ended with a frozen berry creme pop. Divine!

Above you can see my blueberry lemonade and my Brown Bag Chicken sandwich. In the words of Rachel Zoe, "I die!" So many flavors and textures. Divinity on a plate.

I went to Bon Iver/Fleet Foxes last night. It was phenomenal. Fleet Foxes were enchanting. And Bon Iver didn't disappoint in the least, but can we talk for just a second about Mr. Vernon? Oh MY! What a beautiful bearded man. His voice is exquisite and his range is amazing. And really, who can turn down a man in a vest and tie singing his heart out?? He may be my new celeb crush.

I saw Robyn in concert last week with Katy Perry. Don't Judge! Katy was surprisingly great...even better than Brit. Shocking I know.

Back to Robyn. Her dance moves were epic; they didn't match her music or the Katy Perry crowd. And, man, did she own those electric yellow spandex pants. Like I said, epic. The preteens behind me were shocked I knew the words. They probably would have thought Robyn was instanly cool if I had been wearing a mini skirt and bra with candy super glued to it like everyone else. But I wasn't, so they didn't. My sister had a baby. His name is Lincoln. He's kinda great if you ask me.

On a related note, have I ever told you that I think babies are ugly? Well I do. I think they are cute in theory and how cuddlie they are is quite endearing. However, when it comes to physical appearance, not so much. They are red and splotchy with loose skin. I've never seen a baby that I thought was cute before the age of 6 months. I'm not saying I don't like them. I just don't think it's the most attractive portion of one's life. I find it worse than middle school. My sister mocks me and thinks I'm ridiculous. She's right. I'm ridiculous.

The Crew - Me, Chantal, Stephen, Dane

I went to the Britney Spears concert last night. I feel no shame. However, I do feel that every girl should have a personal wind machine for her hair. Brit's looked fab last night and I attribute it to the perfect wind to hair ratio.

The best thing about the night was my friend Stephen. I've never seen a straight man dance so much!! He knew every word to every song. It was pretty much amazing.

I've decided the world needs a red head B, and I'm willing to offer myself. I can do her dance moves, whip my hair and lip sync like the Pop Princess. All I am missing is the Mickey Mouse Club childhood. Stephen offered to be one of my dancers, I told him he would have to audition.

PS. Brit still has some serious moves. Don't worry, I took mental notes and will be conducting my own Darin's Dance Grooves in my living room later this summer.

You always know when to call. Your timing is uncannily and awkwardly accurate. In my darkest moments, you undoubtedly make my phone ring. It's amazing to me how in normal conversations I talk too fast and you ask me to slow down, but through the tears and angst you understand every word. You have a silent strength that I admire and envy. You are sarcastic and witty, but never biting. I can't help but laugh, when I hear your hearty chuckles. Of course the medical advice on broken toes and sprained ankles is ever appreciated. I remember those mornings my senior year when you and I would read scriptures alone. I know I grumbled, but you should know I treasure those memories. Do you know I value your opinion more than almost anyone? Do you know how much I love and miss you?

So remember how I did something crazy? Well, they didn't pick me, but they picked my darling friend Ashley! This lovely lady is the new Mormon Bachelorette (which I will lovingly refer to as the Mo Bach from now on). So boys, be sure to apply and get a date.

Last night was the kickoff party! The Martinelli's was flowing! I made those beauties with this recipe. Wore my cutest dress. Danced and talked the night away!

PS. I'm slightly OBSESSED with my dress. Just slightly.

So I was listening to NPR the other day. Yes, I listen to NPR. It happened to be a great series of personal stories told by writers, actors and everyday people. One of them was Steve from Blues Clues. Who's full name is Steve Burns. Who is a musician. Who's CD I have. Yes, I still have cds. I'm old school, k?

Anyways, I forgot how much I loved our little friend Steve. Here's his best song in my opinion!

I know, I know! I've been slacking on my Jumps. But the last one was big. VERY BIG. I mean, who in there right mind makes a video application to be the star of a dating vlog? Well, I did. And I have no regrets. It's already proved itself fruitful. And maybe it will get certain family members off my back about being more assertive. Because that wasn't just assertive, it was dang BOLD. It should count for two jumps right?

I'm fairly positive you have seen it. But if you haven't, here it is...

Thank heavens for the three day weekend! This last week was truely aweful. I sincerely can't remember the last time I was this stressed! We're talking no sleep, no food, and no makeup...eep! It's okay though, because all has been resolved, and I'm excited to enjoy my weekend away.

I'm taking a little road trip upstate (can you tell I'm still a New Yorker, Phoenicians would never say "upstate" or "Phoenicians" for that matter). I'll be hanging at the Königin at Wahweap slip. Basically the best houseboat at Lake Powell. Woot Woot!

Apparently today is Judgement Day. So what do you do in your last day of life? All your favorite things right? For me that includes sleeping in, brunch, shopping and hanging with my friends and family.

To bad what I really have planned is packing...myself and my sister. We are both moving next week...Yikes!

However, if I'm gonna go out, it's gonna be with a bang. So I'll be wearing my Russian Red!
